Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key member of the Revenue Management department which is responsible for performing strategic and financial analysis for Universal Studios Hollywood attendance, product offerings and pricing recommendations. By providing high-quality, thoughtful insights, the Senior Financial Analyst plays an integral role in supporting the short-term and long-term financial success for Universal Studios Hollywood.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the development of the Annual Budget, Five Year Plan and Quarterly Estimates for admission revenue and attendance
  • Provide modeling and analysis of products, channels, pricing, and promotion initiatives
  • Partner with teams across the company to help to execute on key business initiatives (Marketing, Sales, Operations, I.T.)
  • Evaluate the success of a variety of strategic initiatives
  • Maintain financial and analytical models using advanced Excel skills
  • Work with forecasting models and translate data into actionable insights
  • Measure pricing initiatives in order to maximize profit (pricing sensitivities, break even analysis, volume measurement)
  • Identify margin improvements to improve profitability
  • Analyze past and current performance to maximize all potential revenue
  • Prepare and review weekly reports related to sales volume, pricing, and identify trends
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual close of revenue related to ticket products (including deferred revenue and breakage)
  • Support Halloween Horror Nights program via forecasting, product offering, pricing, and capacity management

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience within finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and statistical and data analysis, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
